Kajli Teej: Procedure of the Vrat

  1. Collect some clean sand and dig a lake with it. Make sure that the water does not get leaked out of it.
  2. Tie all the neem branches together and place them amidst the lake.
  3. Put a red hallowed fabric (Chunri) on the neem branches.
  4. Now, put the symbols of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi close it.
  5. Make Swastik on a Kalash (earthen pot) and tie the holy string (Mauli) around it.
  6. Make the same Swastik on the Puja Sthan (spot of love) and put Mauli, rice, jaggery (Gur), and a coin on it.
  7. Apply Vermilion (Kumkum) on the neem branches and offer sacrosanct Mauli, rice, jaggery, and natural products to the symbols.
  8. Put rice and milk in the lake.
  9. Lit up the incense sticks (Agarbatti) and present the story (Kajli Teej Katha).
  10. See your appearance in the lake.
  11. Now, bow your head and honor Teej Mata and seek her blessings.
  12. Take three rounds around the Teej Mata.
